Broad Portal Tip of the Week: Member Searches

Did you know that you can find Broad Residents working in specific functional areas by using the “Member Search” function?  In order to connect with individual Residents and alumni via the Portal:

1.      Search for a Resident or an alumnus by clicking “Member Search” in the main menu bar.   You can search according to their expertise, recent experiences, bios, employer, contact information, groups, and anything else they’ve updated in their profile, so be creative when trying to find people.

2.      Send him/her an email or give him/her a call.  Click on the name of an individual to view that Resident’s profile. (Though there is a “messaging” feature similar to what Facebook uses on this site, it is unlikely that people will check those often and thus it is better to use email).

In order to enable your colleagues to more easily find and contact you, make sure that your profile is as complete and up to date as possible!
